With 77 available slots, including a maximum of 30 for overseas players, the spotlight is on Indian uncapped talent. Here’s a glimpse of the players to watch during the upcoming auction.

IPL 2024 Auction Unveiling Indian Uncapped Players

IPL 2024 Auction Players:

Shahrukh Khan (Tamil Nadu):

Known for his finishing prowess, Shahrukh Khan, previously with Punjab Kings, was bought for INR 5.25 crore in 2021 but saw limited opportunities in subsequent seasons, leading to his release before the 2024 auction. His rare ability to finish games and all-round skills make him a sought-after asset in the auction.

Kartik Tyagi (Uttar Pradesh):

A member of the Indian U-19 team in the 2020 U19 World Cup, Kartik Tyagi, with 11 wickets to his name, including a four-for against Australia, attracted attention. Despite being part of the Rajasthan Royals, he made only five appearances for Sunrisers Hyderabad. With his ability to swing the ball both ways, Tyagi remains a key target in the upcoming auction.

Ramandeep Singh (Punjab):

Having been part of the Mumbai Indians roster for the last two seasons, Ramandeep Singh showcased his medium pace by claiming six wickets, including a notable three-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His finishing abilities were evident in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare tournaments, adding value to his auction prospects.

Urvil Patel (Gujarat):

Urvil Patel made a mark in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, amassing 311 runs in four matches, with a notable 41-ball century – the second fastest by an Indian in List A cricket. As a part of the Gujarat Titans squad in 2023, his batting prowess is expected to gain attention, especially considering the scarcity of Indian wicket-keeping options in the auction pool.

Vivrant Sharma (Jammu & Kashmir):

After being acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 2.20 crore in the 2023 IPL auction, Vivrant Sharma made headlines with a fifty in his sole innings in the 2023 edition. The 24-year-old left-hander impressed in the Vijay Hazare trophy, scoring 144 against Mizoram and a resilient 83 against Uttarakhand. With the added ability to bowl wrist spin consistently, Sharma is poised to attract interest as an all-rounder in the upcoming auction.
